Children’s Activities

The Rendezvous is a family event with an emphasis on children! Look at all there is to do!

Story Telling with Dusty Traum – My stories are primarily Native-American; either retellings of traditional stories or adaptations based in tradition. Many are focused on how and why certain things came to be, most involve nature, and many characters are animals. Some stories include drum, rattle, or cedar flute. I have been known to include the occasional voyageur tale just for a relish, although these are more suitable for adult audiences. I am not a children’s storyteller per se; I tend to allow each audience to determine the level and content of the story. As in traditional telling, I do try to make sure there is something for everyone.
