Accessiblity on the Grounds
The Rendezvous is an outdoor event held on the grounds of the French Commons in Vincennes.

Grounds – The ground for the event is grass, it will be mowed before the event and should be navigable by accessibility devices and strollers. The ground drains well after rains and most will remain firm; some spots may be soft but should not affect ability to get around.

Accessibility devices – Wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs, mobility chairs and strollers are all allowed at the event. Segways, golf carts, and other motorized devices are not allowed.

Restrooms – The grounds have a permanent restroom that has accessible facilities available. Porta potties are used to increase capacity and several accessible porta Johns will be available.

Parking – An accessible parking area is located near the main entrance gate. This parking area is on grass with no special features other than being closer to the gate. There is a parking fee of $5.

Resting spots – Benches are located randomly throughout the grounds, often in shady areas providing a place to stop and take a break if needed.

Service Animals – Dogs trained to provide a service to the owner are welcome at the event. We ask that the animal be properly identified by a vest or other means. No other animals are allowed. Comfort animals for emotional support are not allowed on grounds. (Please note there may be Oxen, sheep, goats, chickens, ponies, horses, and other animals representing life in the 18th century on ground.) Please see our Pet Policy by clicking here.

National Park
The George Rogers Clark National Historical Park is located immediately across Willow Street from the event. The Park is completely accessible with paved sidewalks and ramps and has accessible restrooms at the visitor center.
The Visitor Center is air conditioned and offers a 30-minute movie that is open captioned if you are looking to take a break and sit for a few minutes.
